In this context, it is hoped that media professionals will remain diligent in their work and adhere to ethical standards. There is concern that amidst increasing corporatization, media sensationalism, and pressures from power politics, adherence to ethical standards in the media—marked by impartiality, accountability, and self-regulation—is becoming increasingly rare. However, it is also true that in challenging and adverse circumstances, accountability and freedom of expression remain vital.
